Performing Arts / Music / Assembly / Flexible Gathering

As Designer and Job Captain, I led the transformation of the historic Little Theater from concept through construction, reworking an underutilized assembly space within San Francisco’s Flood Mansion into a genuinely flexible hub for performance, rehearsal, music, gatherings, and school-wide events. A central move was removing the permanent wall between the theater and foyer and replacing it with a full-height retractable Skyfold acoustic partition, allowing the two rooms to operate independently or combine into one continuous event space at the touch of a button. The renovation also removed the former fixed stage and bleachers, introduced new performance infrastructure, acoustics, AV and lighting, and strengthened the connection to the adjacent Shakespeare Landing.
