From the original competition through permitting, I served as Job Captain and a lead designer; the only design team member continuously involved across the project’s full design arc. We developed from competition concept through evolution of the building’s massing, programming, façade, atrium, circulation, and landscape framework as the project moved from pursuit to reality.

Working within a fixed public budget, we translated feedback from CCSF leadership and the people who would actually use the building into successive design options, coordinating closely with Kitchell, XL Construction, consultants, and Gensler’s interiors team. The completed 80,000 SF campus gateway consolidates 30+ student services under one roof and was delivered within its earmarked public budget.
